The time has come when I am supposed to announce the competition for T-shirts. Initially I thought I will have 10 t-shirts with my limited budget.But as soon as we got them; they were so cool that I wanted to keep one for myself and other 3 were snatched by my close friends. Now I have 6 left with me for the readers (I am sorry for that).I would like to invite the readers of EventsBangalore to write article to claim T-Shirts. The article should be

Its been a month the www.eventsbangalore.net went online. On June 4, I started blogging on this new address. There are not many people behind this effort. But on this successful one month completion I would like to thank many who helped me.

First of all thanks to wonderful community called FOSS (Free and Open Source Software). This site runs on WordPress/Linux/Apache/MySQL. All are world class products of FOSS. Thanks to zillion people who make this community.

This one month has been very wonderful. Thanks to all these wonderful people who helped/encouraged me what I do.

The statistics of www.eventsbangalore.net is below
No Of Hits: Around 5300 hits in this month.
Referrer:Google has been the major referrer for the site. Around half the people are lead by Google. Orkut has been the second major referrer.

No of Posts: There have been posts almost everyday. More than 60 posts over a month. Very little over the weekend which I need to concentrate on.
No of Subscribers to email Alert: There are about 36 subscribers on email alert list. Click here if you want to subscribe.
The Orkut Community: Has around 76 members today. And is growing everyday. The community is for in keeping touch with readers of the blog. If you love EventsBangalore join the Orkut EventsBangalore.Net Community to interact with similar interest people.
Flickr foto pool: At the bottom of every page we show the pictures from EventsBangalore.Net Flickr community . There are presently 4 members. If you wish to share the pictures please join the community.
Earnings/expenditure: The blog is hosted on Godaddy. Presently there is no major earnings from the blog except the happiness when I get the mails. If you like to donate hosting fees please use the top right donate button. Presently I am using Google Adsense on the site for the revenue.

I am working on calendar feature on EventsBangalore. You may find a new toolbar with new features. The toolbar will contain add to calendar features for major calendar applications (sunbird, outllok, thunderbird, yahoo or google calendar) . This will help the users to add the events to their calendar easily.
I am working towards supporting the microformats on EventsBangalore. This will make the search engines to search events easily and also for the users to import events.

May be by next weekend you should be able to see all this features.
