Directed by Jim Jarmusch, Down By Law has won ‘Best Foreign Feature Film’ award at Amanda Award and has another 4 major awards to its credit from various international film festivals around the world.

Synopsis: Down By Law, Zack is an out of work DJ, busted with a body in the trunk of a stolen car he was trying to cross the state in. Jack, a Pimp, is arrested for recruiting a minor. Roberto is an Italian tourist arrested for murdering man while playing cards. They are housed in the same prison cell, and Roberto convinces the other two to escape. They succeed only to be lost in the bayou. It is not until they find the home of an Italian immigrant, that they learn to appreciate beauty in the world.

Synopsis: Breaking News, A live broadcast of a Hong Kong officer’s cowardly surrender to bank robbers leads to a credibility crisis, making the cops realize the important of a media-fed war. When the robbers are found holed up, a PR event is created with streaming videos, journalist briefings and inputs from a filmmaker, but the robbers start their own media spectacle with online leakages. The game of chess ends in a dramatic minibus chase, but not before it gives us a satirical glimpse of the media circus that follows any Breaking News.
