“first flush/first flash”: The outcome of the 4-day workshop held in Bangalore by Mischa Kuball
Date: September 26, 2006
Venue: Max Mueller Bhavan
Time: 6.30 p.m.
The participants of the workshop “first flush/first flash!” will present the outcome of their activities during the four days. The work is expected to focus on Bangalore’s urban transformation – with the
spotlight on high speed and the tendency towards deceleration.
Mischa Kuball will also present BlackBoxScreening – a non-stop cine screening compiled from the media-art projects of students at the Academy for Design, Karlsruhe, Germany. The project,
designed and executed by Mischa Kuball, attempts to reinterpret the role of a cinema as social venue and cultural institution, as also to break down the supposed barrier between cinema and museum. Various forms of media, including film, photos and music undergo a transformation on the screen – a non-stop screening of over 40 projects
