A unique, fun-filled, series of theatre based workshops on communication skills for people with limited or no stage experience. Every Sunday at RMV

2) Imagining through the body- working on physicality and imagination
3) Speaking out- word games and impromptu scenes.

6) Improvisational Theatre based activities
7) Presenting through monologues 8) Short scene sketches- ensemble work
And other fun games/exercises that foster better self-awareness.
You could be just about anyone. You could be a student or a professional, in any field, at any level. You may have an active interest in the stage and in being a part of it, or you might just be looking for a great lateral way to enhance your communication and interpersonal skills, and become a more
effective and imaginative corporate citizen. You will find this workshop to be a fulfilling and enriching experience, whatever your story is.

Workshop Facilitator: Anmol Vellani
Actor-Director-Producer Anmol Vellani started his theatre career in the early 1970s. He has acted in and directed several plays in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Cambridge in the U.K..
Workshop Content
The workshop will primarily focus on character building in theatre, exploring exercises that would help participants analyse and interpret characters in any given play. The workshop will be an intensive one and participants should be prepared to stay on after 5 pm if necessary. Participants will also be expected to meet independently in groups between the two sets of dates for the workshop.
There will be a nominal fee of Rs 600/- for the workshop. Participants will need to take care of their own lunch and refreshments (there is a canteen at Commits).
The fee is payable to Toto Funds the Arts, H-301 Adarsh Gardens, 47th Cross, 8th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore 560 082, or to Uday Singh (ph: 9886112108) who is coordinating the workshop. The number of participants will be limited to 12. The workshop will be conducted in English and some previous theatre experience will be helpful but not absolutely essential.
